Hyperkalaemia is a potentially life threatening electrolyte disturbance and should be confirmed, investigated, and managed as soon as possible

Consider:
- Blood gas for rapid confirmation of serum potassium concentration
Medications and dosage
- IV - Calcium gluconate 10%: 10-20mL (2.2-4.4mmol)
- IV - Dextrose 50%: 50mL + Actrapid insulin: 5units
- Nebulised - Salbutamol 5mg, repeated as necessary up to 20mg
