The majority of TB treatment is by standardised regimens. In the case of drug resistant disease standardised regimens are obviously less suitable The following are the fixed (and non-fixed) drug combinations in current use in South Africa.
RHZE, 2/12; RH, 4/12
(150/75/400/275) 2/12 intensive phase; followed by (150/75 or 300/150) 4/12 continuation phase.
BPaL-(L)
The combination of bedaquiline, pretomanid, linezolin +/- levofloxacin is used as treatment for drug resistant disease.
